So I'm curious. I pulled the trigger last weekend and purchased a waterbox marine x 60.2. Since its up to 4 weeks until I see this tank I've been searching around for some inspiration and realized how few builds are going on with this specific tank. Any other 60.2 owners out there?

That could honestly be all it is. Im just getting back into the hobby and I actually don't know when waterbox started to make these tanks. ‍

You’re correct that this 60.2 is a new model in the Marine X line up. I believe the previous 60.2 was roughly 24x24x18 and had a solid piece of glass that divided the sump along the entire back wall.
I purchased a new 60.2 about 2 weeks ago and also notice only a few build threads. Good luck Tony.

Received my 110.4 about 2 weeks ago. Just today I got it all set up hopefully I'll get the sand and rock this week.
It was about a 5 week wait for me
It is pretty nice ! Been messing with the gurgle noise all day from the overflow so annoying lol
Finished filling it today.
In the sump center chamber i put some baffals in for a fuge.
REEF Breeders photon lights
Reef Octopus 150int skimmer
CurrentUsa return pump.
No wave makers yet
Hydros controller 2
Once I stop the gurgle it will be perfect !
Show us some pics the rest of you

Wow its been a long time since I used real live rock and sand.
It did clear up overnight but as soon as I did anything it got all cloudy again.
Trying to remember 10 years ago when I did this and I dont remember it clouding up after it cleared it the first time.
Any tricks I can do or anything ?
I dumped most of the water that was in the sand best I could do put it in the best one can do so idk.
Sump is totally trashed going have to take it out in a month or so to clean it real good.
Let me know
Thanks

Any updates on your delivery date? My order was placed Nov 27 and I was told January.

I’m also curious on delivery date. I ordered a Marine X 60.2 on 17-Nov and have called WB twice. They have not been able to give me any information at all. They have also marked the X 60.2 as “currently unavailable” on the website. Really eager to get this going. :(

I cant say I'm surprised with the delays especially with the 60.2 being on the cheaper end of what they produce tank wise and the little gifts they were offering with purchases after Thanksgiving. Ill have to give them a call today and see if I can get any updates. I guess a little more delay is just more time for me to get everything else and have it ready to start the tank up when it arrives. Hopefully everything shows up for all of us without any damage. It would suck to have to make a claim and then have to wait an additional 4-6wks for a replacement to arrive.

It took me 6 weeks to get mine actually 7 maybe.
The packaging was very well done.
Just set everything up today finally cleared up mostly. Should only get better now.
I had this dry rock left over from my 30 so ill see how long it takes to turn with all the other LR.
Got a few corals to
Have this sit then mid January do one more order this is 75 lbs of LR and probably 25 of fake rock so ill do another 70 lbs after this cycles.
Maybe next order I will use gulf rock

So most people say to add 1# of rock per gallon of water. I have 21# of rock (not live) and this seems to be too much. I haven’t stacked it yet but I don’t think I want to use all of it. I want plenty of negative space. I also ordered a cubic foot of Marinepure cubes to put in my sump. Any thoughts?

Well I actually was reading about the cubes and had mixed feelings alot said they just fell apart after a while and made a mess. But that was on like an hour of reading ill need to do more research on that.
I always did 1 pound of sand per gallon and 1.5 to 2 pounds of LR per gallon.
But I know now a day alot of people like yourself want that open feel.
With that you would need more of something in the sump.
