I have a few questions, should you eat a really lot after you work out?

Ok, is cheese with whole wheat bread and green tea with honey a good meal after a work out? So after you work out, wait about 30 min then eat some good foods? Is milk, oat meal cookies with raisins/cranberries and nuts a good meal? lol The cookies are home made. :)good question about eating alot after you workout. after you workout, that is a crucial time on what you eat. i would eat good protein and good complex carbs. that will help replenish your body and help it to recover. im not saying eat 10 plates worth, but eat an equal amount of each portion until you feel satisfied.
if you cant access quality food, a good protein shake will suffice. remember, dont make your work out worthless by eating junk food after!!! the 30mins after your work out is just as important as the work out itself. good luck!
Okay, how should the potato be cooked? There are several ways to cook a potato, some being healthy ways and some being junk food.Chicken my man just plain chicken and rice and a potato
Okay, thanks for the help everyone!! How many push ups off the floor can you do if you don't mind me asking? loli just bake it
I was told that if you don't do the right work outs, no matter how much you work out, you'll never get a 6 pack if you don't do the right work outs. Not 100% sure if its true or not tho. I'm 137 lb and 5' 8". lolI workout 5 hours a day 6 days a week and I do not have a 6 pack I am a 300 lbs 6' 4" offensive linemen
I completely agree with this statement. If you want to look ripped and get a "six pack" the key is your diet. High protein and decrease the processed carbs. No sugars,no white rice,no white potatoes, no white bread. Eat more of the brown rices, the multigrains. Your workouts should focus on cross training with weights and cardio, intense cardio. My post workout diet consists of a protein shake within 1 hr after I 've finished my workout. Then later boneless, skinless, chicken breasts with brocoli. It is very difficult to get a ripped physique, alot of discipline and depriving yourself of certain foods. Good luck. Alim no bodybuilder or personal trainer, but ive been in the gym and on the mats long enough to know a little something.
if you are after a 6 pack, i would focus more on nutrition and diet. then after that cardio and then weights.
for me i train jiu jitsu 5x's a week 2-3 hours a day. when a tournament is coming up and i need to start dropping weight, the only thing i change is my diet and the weight comes down and i start to see cuts and definaition again. when there is no tournaments, i slack on the foods a little and enjoy life a little more, haha.
for me, after a work out i like to eat lean protein (chicken, tune or salmon) along with either broccoli, baked sweet potato or brown rice. the protein helps to build and recover muscles and the complex carbs help replenish energy.
also, the 5 small meals every 2-3 hours a day works great.
getting a 6 pack takes alot of work, especially if you are not gifted with awesome genes. but hey, if it was easy, everyone would be walking with their shirts off.
