Apex auto feeder

Can any give some advise on a 3 day old apex auto feeder worked first 2 days now dont go back to rest position but still works

works(hopefully) i open it upp and did turn the 2 orange gears several turns and it cycled again
so if someone else have same problem this might be the trick

Yes, both mine and a friends did the same thing. Being sent back now for replacement. This issue also caused a feeding cycle problem since the motor timing was off and it would take to long to complete a cycle. I would contact Apex and get an RMA started.
