Apex classic question

I just acquired a used apex classic black logo head unit. I had a new display lying around and used that... also updated it as well... I do not have an eb8, but im powering the apex with just a power cord... Connected to fusion fine and wifi as well... Will the apex not work properly without an eb8? It seemed like It was working fine lastnight, but now all the probes are reading the same values even when I unplug them... they arent even showing on fusion... they show on the graph, but no outlet setting... im taking its because of no eb8... just wondering if anyone knows

The EB8 shouldn't make a difference.
