The probes are useful because they show trends. That in of itself pays for the additional cost in the long run.

Remember - the probes are there to report and show trends. If you understand this, regardless of controller, you will see they are worth the extra cost and piece of mind.

Bought my Apex 2106 for $480 on r2r. A lot of people on here sell them for around $600 shipped. Just have to search for them .

Lol FOLWL don’t need controller due to the hardness of the fish. If you are a travel guy like me than you may consider it
