I'm in the process of picking equipment for my 103 Gal Cylinder tank.
I'll be using an Apex EL controller so I want to get an Apex pump.

Since my stand is 35" and my tank is 35" high I'll be pushing about 6 feet of head through a 1" return pipe.

The Cor-15 is rated @ 625GPH at 6 feet and the Cor-20 is @ 1300GPH at 6 feet.

I want to make sure I have enough turnover. Not sure if the 15 in enough? Don't want to spend more than I have to.

For an extra $50, I’d just get the COR 20, fully controllable, so if there’s too much flow you can easily dial it down... plus when you upgrade, a new bigger return pump is one less thing to buy.

I agree with all this, get the 20. You can dial it down, you would be fine running the 15 as well, but for the extra money the cor 20 will be worth it. I would run the cor 20 at 50% anyway, you only really need 4-5x turnover.

I went with cor-20 based on black friday was same price but I think you should go with cor-15, the cor-15 can be run with out a energy bar and plug right into side of EB832. Less energy blocks the cleaner your wire management will be IMO.

I didn't realize that about the 15 pump. I like the less wires idea. Thanks I just ordered one up from BRS.
