Apex DOS?

Watch out these things are like white mice. I've got two DÕS for dosing, and I just ordered a third one so I can set it up for automatic waterchanges. Any idiosyncracies anyone has found with using it for an auto water change system? I'm super excited, I've got my saltwater mixing station up and running and am looking forward to letting the APEX do continuous waterchanges for me.

I bought 3 of them. One for water changes into 2 trigger systems 10g Ato. Green for clean water and red for waste.

Do they seem to stay pretty accurate with each other?

Can anyone explain for me why this Doser is only equipped with 2 pumps? All balling-receipt and regims requires also the NaCl-free salt, thus a third canister and pump, to not get ionic-imbalance(and as a bonus possibility to add Mg without lowering the Ca-level (if you add MgCl in the CaCl-canister you have to increase the dose of NaHCO3 in the KH bucket to not get excess of Cl, and thus introducing with time more KH than Ca)). All other brands so far as I can see have 3 ore more pumps of this reason. More than 3 is not necessary for replacing Ca/KH, but many also nowadays include 4 or 5 pumps for further dosing things. But nevertheless 3 is a minimum. I know that their still existing two-parts-solutions, but all these should get ionic-imbalance(=with time too much NaCl(correct me if I am wrong)), so why not always use three-part, thus an ordinary classic(or plus) Balling?. Is this a difference between Europe and USA?, in that case a very interesting difference I cannot fully understand my friends. Please explain to me if there is something i missing:_)

I've done the same as Jonathan, I have two DOS for dosing, three pumps for Balling A, B, and C, and a fourth pump I am using to pump NOPOX. The third DOS will change water for me.

It is a little annoying they didn't build it with 3 pumps, but, it really is a brilliant doser, and mine have been flawless in operation and accuracy so far so, there wasn't a question as to whether another one was worth it.

I personally almost bought the PacificSun Kore 5th doser that they had on a 18% discount on black friday, but FedEx wanted $180 shipping from Europe. That and the EU's VAT is ridiculous. Those things all combined made me decide that I was spending my money elsewhere.

I had a weird issue where it was skipping a dose here or there in my auto water changes. I posted about it on the neptune forums, but never heard anything back. It's not bad enough that I needed to turn them off or anything, but I do periodically check fusion and the salinity in my tank to make sure that we're not getting too far off track. 250mL of missing tank water here and there isn't the end of the world since occasionnally I feel like I spill more than that during maintenance/water changes/etc.

I just flicked the switch on my third DOS today, so it's started doing continuous waterchanges! I will definitely keep an eye on it to look for any idiosyncracies. @MTWiley thanks for the heads up!
