Hey guys, Im looking for a new CA/ALK doser, I'm currently using the BRS dosers. Im looking for something good, that works well. How difficult is it to setup?

Replacing. They are not dosing the same amount when its on. When the container is low it dose much less, when I fill the container it dose too much. Not sure why. Its making my parameters not stable.

Peristaltic pumps become less efficient the higher they have to pull liquid so lower the reservoir level gets the lower the flow rate. If your pumps are high above your reservoirs repositioning them closer to the the elevation of the containers should help. IMPORTANT..... Make sure the effluent point of the doser is higher than your maximum reservoir level or it could overdose if/when a pump seal fails.

I run two of the Dõs and like them a lot. Easy to setup and you can test/calibrate the pumps easily of you think they are off

I have mine doing auto water changes of 2 gallons a day from the new salt water tanks in my basement up to the sump on my first floor. Haven't had any issues so far. They're pretty easy to program, just make sure you calibrate your DOS and test to verify you're dosing the expected amount before actually going live and relying on it.

I got a second dos from someone who thought it was too noisy. Plus its very large. But so far so good for me, have had mine for over a year with just one problem. And its daylight savings time. Its not something to wry about but fusion will either continue dosing for the hour or loose an hour. Just a blimp on the trend is all, other then that calibration takes a mere 60 seconds to do, setup and dose tuneing is a tap on your phone screen. Works great for me. Only seen one bad review and it was a defected unit

Output is a little higher of the reservoir, but the dosers are much higher of the reservoir and the output

Heigh of doser dont matter. Its height of the end of the tube that will prevent siphon should pump ever fail

The doser position is something i would look at. How tall are the reservoirs? The doser flow deceases as the distance from the top of liquid increases. The difference between 1 ft and 2 ft is pretty small but it's not zero.

Just can't think of another reason why dosed amounts would decrease as your reservoirs get lower then go back up when you refill them.

I just lowered the dosers to the same level of the reservoirs. If that doesnt help Inwill look for another doser.

I love my DÕS. It's probably the easiest of all the Neptune accesories to use! Very easy to calibrate/setup/use. I want another one now.

DOS is the easiest thing on my aquarium I ever set up.

I'm running 2 DoS's right now and like them alot...........other than they take up a ton of space, but adding a cabinet next to my tank took care of that! I'm thinking of getting 2 more for dosing KZ's coral system.

**Edit-- oh, and btw, super easy to setup. Fusion does all the math for you.
