I am working on putting Together a build and I read something that caught my eye. I am setting up a water change and ATO station which is about 30 feet away from my tank. I am curious is if anyone has ever had a siphon break or does the DOS pump work as a check valve on its own thanks.

The DOS is a peristaltic pump, by design these do not siphon due to the tube constantly being “pinched”.

Ive had leaky peristalic pumps when the tubes are worn, ready for replacement.

I see you can get a 4 roller replacement head would that help hold up against head pressure. 2 pinch points instead of one or would that cause more wear
