Hi,

New member, long time reefer, not so good with the tech stuff. I recently purchased the Apex el to control my tank. I have 1 Kessil A360 that I am trying to hook to the Apex so I can control spectrum and intensity. I was told I would need a VDM module since the EL doesn't have the 0-10v outputs. I can't seem to get my light to work. I have connected the Kessil cable from the input on the Kessil to the jack port on the VDM and I have the VDM connected to the APEX power bar. When I first connected, the light came on but it will not turn off according to my programming. (Already had another reefer check that and it is accurate). So I manually turned off the light through my apex fusion app and went to bed. Today I switched from manual to auto and now the light won't turn on. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Also keep in mind that the A360 doesn't dim down very low and will only turn on at about 15% …. below that it remains off.

I followed this article to set it up. I have the Kessil control cable connected to the stereo plug "input". The other end IS connected to the V1/V2 input on the VDM module. I then have 2 variable outputs labeled K_/Color and K_Intensity.

I factored in the 15% intensity shut off into my programming.

I'm not at home now, but just looked at my phone and it appears that the lights are on now. My programming calls for them to begin ramping up at noon cst. It is 2:30 cst here now and they are just coming on. Is there a timing issue with these things?
