You need to press extract all files first

That is correct. Downloaded file is compressed .zip file and it needs the contents extracted first. Once files are extracted use file firmare utility and do the updates.

Thanks guys! I'm not that computer savvy. I skipped the whole extract the file step. After I did that everything went smooth.

On the classic, the way to do the updates are using a hardwired connection. A long patch cable is pretty cheap in a not book is not available. I just ran the cable and have the classic hardwired so I can always get to it even if the wifi is down;)
