Ok so I’m debating on getting the apex with both the trident and trident np but my tank is a aio so where would be the best place for the probes to go and would I need to put the tridents on a shelf above the tank to prevent back siphoning

video of the tank I know some will say it’s a overkill but I will eventually upgrade to a bigger tank and I would rather be able to see real time numbers rather than just relying on testing once a week

In my opinion, that would be a huge investment with an AIO. I think I would invest in quality test kits, and skip all the added complexity. Maybe just start the Apex head unit and eb832 and grow into the platform as your hobby enthusiasm grows. The average hobbyist doesn't stay in saltwater reefing very long.
I think you are in a fortunate size of a tank to really learn the hobby, and by going all automated, it may just effect your learning curve. Just my 2 cents. Good luck and enjoy your path whichever way you end up going.

Thanks for the reply bud I get what you are saying but it would be a investment for a bigger future tank too I’ve had a marine tank for a few years but just been able to get back in to it.i don’t mind putting the investment in to the system when I have a real time number to look at at any given time of day I want to get this tank right and consistent and think the apex and tridents would help I just don’t know best place to put the probes with no sump

The video doesnt really show a lot of detail of AIO filter area.
Probes and pick up tubes for both Tridents need to be in a non air bubble area of AIO
Placement answer with simple google search

For an All-in-One (AIO) tank, the Neptune Trident should be placed above the tank's waterline to prevent siphoning, but if that's not possible, it should be placed as close to the tank as possible (3-4 feet maximum) on a level surface. A common alternative is to place it under the stand, as long as the sample line tubing isn't cut or altered and the height difference is minimal, with one recommendation being to place it slightly above the tank's sample point to avoid backflow. Ensure the device is upright and in a location where the tubing can reach the sample point without being extended or shortened
