How do I know if my probe is bad? I have read tons of stuff on how to calibrate. I have done everything that everyone says to calibrate. No matter what I do it never reads 35 in the 53,000 solution. It always reads 31.7 If I can't read 35 in the 53,000 solution does it mean its bad?

Main thing is to assure its' clean and no air is trapped within. I run mine at an angle to alleviate air. I know a couple who have it upside down (yikes).

Yeah I've done all that. Only rinse it in rodi water. No matter what I do it won't give me the 35 in the solution. It's not erratic. Its stays steady at 31.7 or close to it.

It was only a month old. Might be why he sold it. I hate to buy another probe just to have the same problem
