is the pro worth the extra £300+ over the standard from what i have seen no but i would like opinions on why you think the upgrades are worth it or not

IMHO - no - why - likely bugs, etc - you likely don't need most of the functions - if so - its up to you to decide

IMO it's absolutely worth it, I bought a pro a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier.
I'm new to apex and was originally thinking of getting the Jr or standard apex, but when I researched more and thought about future upgrades I'd likely do and what you get in each kit it was a no brainer to go with the pro.
All the included ports in the pro means less modules you'll have to buy for future upgrades, eg I wanted a salinity probe and that port is only available in the pro.

It depends what you want to get out of it I guess so everyone will different, but I have absolutely no regrets going with the pro.
