I don’t think it is adjustable. I believe the more media you have the longer it will last.

What is the code you used? So it opens if your PH gets over 8.3? I just got my apex so haven't done any code stuff yet. Also, where did you get the solenoid?

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If pH < 8.25 Then OFF
If pH > 8.30 Then ON

the solinoid is normally closed so I turn it on when it gets above 8.3.

I’d skip the scrubber and run an airline to the outside. If you forget to change the media out when the media depletes, then you’ll end up with an Alk spike due to lower pH and less Alk/Calc uptake from corals. Also, the media gets expensive over time and is yet another thing to worry about. Another issue is when you shut off your skimmer your pH can drop considerably. Don’t forget to turn it back on soon. I had a scrubber setup and I don’t think it’s worth it if you’re between 8.0 and 8.2.

Definitely consider recirculating to save on the media.

I'm going to try running a hose tonight and see if it helps at all. Then will go from there.

Super cool, i’ll have my CO2 scrubber recirculating off my skimmer and in the day my PH gets to 8.5 but then goes to 8.2 and night stopped my two-part dosing at night and started dose kalk a few days ago at night to flatten it out the curve,

still some adjusting to do but getting there

Well, I went ahead and ran a line and extended my silencer so its outside the tank. I actually had a pretty good jump but I'm still not quite where I want, so we shall see. Went to 8.11

I have the issue that if I let the scrubber run wild, my pH will go to 8.5+, which is why I installed the solenoid.
Same here. I had to turn my skimmer off due to the PH ever increasing to 8.45. My ph used to be 7.9. Since I installed the co2 scrubber it has been a week and I hit 8.45. Hence why I am reading this thread and trying to figure out how to use the solenoid with the apex. The ice cap media seems to work very well.

Yeah I found the ice cap media works better than the BRS media and the color change is much more apparent.

Here’s another valve you can pick up from Amazon. This is a stainless steel valve that plugs in. I’m using this it’s normally open so I have it coded on Apex to open up and grab fresh air if my Ph gets too high utilizing my CO2 scrubber. While using my CO2 scrubber it stays closed. It’s like 62.00 and very reliable. My ph has been steady at 8.1-8.2

How did you connect the solenoid to the 24v port on the EB832? Is it this?https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/dc24-to-bare-wire-accessory-cable-neptune-systems.html
Then just twist red to red, black to black? I need help with this as im looking to control the ph levels on my recirculating scrubber via the 24v ports on the apex. Is that cable necessary or will the solenoid wire direct to the 24v ports?

This is prolly an old thread but if you use a co2 scrubber then you don’t need gas exchange at the surface of the tank. Meaning if you have gas exchange at the surface your co2 scrubber won’t work correctly. You have to pick one or the other.
