When it comes to WiFi And Electronics…I’m starting to hate that all Reef Devices are all WiFi and no internal/external controllers to them.
My question is…if power goes out is there anyway to access apex system to see the stats temp/on and off/etc.

I tried this whole apex.local or whatever and nothing is was working.

(I have power and WiFi right now but I’d like to understand before it happens again)

Is there a device I can plug and play to apex to see stats?

Thanks

im with you on this one, nice when it works but when it doesn't! I just want to plug something in and have it work, dumb technology.

Um…what if someone has a generator? Then apex has power…just saying.

Your post says if the power goes out. Not that the WiFi goes out because of loss of power and you still have an Apex on a generator. Make sure it’s a good generator with “clean power” as the Apex electronics hate generators.

I have battery backup on apex and wifi. My wifi is much smaller so it goes out like an hour after power does not the apex can go for 24 hours. Can't see apex without wifi to talk to it either.
But yes, if everything is up, your good.

I haven't had a problem yet, been a few years with multiple power outage but I totally understand what you're saying. My next genny will be clean.
Lots of electronics don't like genny power.

My bad…I guess if I don’t have power I don’t have WiFi. So I meant if everything goes out!
No wifi/internet
No power…power source gen.
How can I access the apex? So I can see display?

No but it keeps memory withyour settings

I know apex sells the little display screen…is that the only option?
That would show me temp if WiFi goes out…

I’ve had the worse luck with birds so that is a big no go.

I appreciate all the help! I’m tired of this Wi-Fi world!

I have a stick on thermometer on my sump and aquarium. Works well enough if the need arises
