So I was just told my apex classic is no good anymore by apex tech support I am in the the pickle of do I get the new 2016 base unit only or go ahead and get the new 2016 unit new with new energy bar. Please give me your thoughts on which direction to go. I know if I keep my old energy bar I will not be able to use some new and old add on’s.

I recently went through the same dilemma and ended up just picking up a used classic brain. I then did a daily poll on the topic and there was some good conversation on the topic.

If you can afford the whole package get the Brain, EB832 and Probes. The 2016 Brain is 399.... So your half way there... Well worth having the new EB832 energy bar, fresh set of probes, plus you can still use your older stuff.

Depending on your money situation you could buy just the 2016 brain and then buy the EB832 later like I did
Buy a used classic ( I do have one for sale cheap) but I would just buy the new and slowly upgrade
