API Algaefix

Hello, just wondering if I should run protein skimmer while using API Marine Algaefix?? I have seen mixed reviews some say yes while others say no. I am fighting turf algae and even with heavy cuc and water changes/low light schedule could not keep it at bay. Has anyone had good results killing turf with this product ? I waited as long as I could before adding Algaefix and hoping this will finally take care of it. Tank has been running almost 2 yrs.

I would run the skimmer. I keep my skimmer going when dosing Algaefix

I kept protein skimmer running, almost all of turf algae is gone. Worked great!!!

yes exact stated dosage. No unexpected side effects.

I’m fighting an outbreak and am thinking about using algeafix. did you have corals and inverts in your tank when you treated. If so, how did they respond.

No corals at time, but several hermits and snails, they did fine no issues.
