I have a little bit of aptasia in my tank. I just can't stand looking at them. I've tried file fish. Peppermint shrimp and nothing. The file fish ate nothing but fish food. Never touched the aptasia. Only luck I've had is AptasiaX. That's been able to keep them under control. Is there anything else I can do?

I have used a hevily concentrated kalkwasser mix in a pinch but agree that F-aipatasia is the way to go.

Sorry about you file fish. I got one, took about 2-3 weeks but he has now mowed thru at least 50 I had in my 180.

The Franks product is real solid to try also. Or start an aptasia garden like I did.

I use Aptasia X but mine are small and few and far between. Had great success with it. Am impressed by how many folks like Franks- have to try it when I need more. Good luck.

I have had luck with file fish but it did take a couple of weeks for him to start eating aptasia, same with peppermint shrimp. I don't know how long you have had the file fish and shrimp but might just need a few more weeks, once they start the aptasia disappears quickly.

I have had luck with my 2 peppermint shrimps, I have also have taken the rocks out and put flame from a lighter to them to get rid of them
