Are these units any good? I can't even find a manufacturer website, model is likely to be EC-15

A skimmer is only as good as its pump, can you get parts? If the pump fails and you cannot get a pump then will you have to throw away? Is there C/S. Have you looked into the Simplicity 120 model they are affordable and have great C/S.

Not sure if you've already purchased but I've used the Aqua Excel AE 601 for about 2 years on my 110g and it has performed very well. I've oy taken it apart to clean it once. It skimms half a cup every 3 days.

I fact I've just been hunting for a larger one for my new build and shopping around I just couldn't justify paying double the price when mine had never let me down. So ice just ourchthe AE-EC 30 DC version.

Hopefully it will be a good s the 601.
