AquaC Remora upgrade question

Hi,

I have an AquaC Remora Skimmer (not pro version) using maxi-jet 1200 and I want to ask if it's possible to use a Mag 3 pump to make it more efficient. I've read that you can only use Mag 3 pump if you have the pro version. Is that true? Thank you.

My problem is that both skimmers are different, past looking at their pumps. They are also of different sizes, and I worry just sticking a new more powerful pump would cause micro bubbles hell for your tank.
