  • Hello. I’m running an older controller on my reef tank, the Aquacontroller Jr. I’m wondering if I can hook a vdm module to it to control the dimming of my leds.
 
Unfortunately the technology with this unit makes it impossible to add later components

The VDM module connects using an AquaBus cable (which is a USB cable), but the old AquaController units do not have AquaBus ports, so it is not compatible. You can only use VDM modules (and all other AquaBus-connected modules) with the Apex line of controllers which are the newer generation after the AquaController line of products.
