Anyone running the Aquamaxx ConeS Q-3 in a 150 gallon tank with light to moderate bio load? Thinking of purchasing this skimmer but don’t know if it would be overkill for my setup. Maybe the Q-2 would be a better option? Thanks!

I did and absolutely loved it. Only drawback was turning the collection cup off as it often seized from salt buildup

I have the Q2 but I only just started running it - so far so good. But check out the sales history on google, they all go on sale about once every 2-3 months
Getting a deal on BRS on the Q2 for $288. Sounds fair?

Yeah the deal comes from the manufacturer, it’s the same on all sites. Google shows it in its price history - pretty funny because they run the exact same sale like clockwork. But yes I think 288 was what I paid too

Ok thanks

I have had my Cone S 3 for ten years. It was on a 90g Sps system for 9 years and currently on my 150g. It's big enough as long as you don't have a heavy bioload.

Buy your skimmer from a vendor that doesn't charge tax. BRS kills your sale price by taxing you.
