So a buddy of mine kept telling me he would paint the back of his aquarium with rubber and I thought what the heck are you taking about. I never wanted to spray paint mine because it sucks to remove it and those plastic background always get air in them overtime and just look bad. I will be seeing up a new 75 gallon reef and let him talk me into using the rubber background. He actually Spears the back of his tank with plastidip and let me tell you this stuff is amazing. It costs just like already paint but rubs off the glass with just your fingers. It's a great diy background for someone that wants it to be solid color but also wants it to be easily removable is the future.

Thanks for the tip!

I used Flexseal on the inside of my stand. Would never have thought about using something like that on the back glass!
