Hey Everyone!

Anyone have experience or spectral output of these bulbs? They note it is a 15K spectrum, anyone use these in the past?

Digging a bit at reefcentral I came across this.
A bit confusing since it's listed as a fauna marin product?

It is also my understanding that the new Giesemann bulbs are now similar to Aquascience, as they are both made by NARVA

Seems these bulbs have gone under at least 4 names not to mention some knockoffs
Red sea, fauna marin, geisemann, and of course NARVA.

Oddly, never found a spectrum yet ..

Thanks for your research! Super curious about these, didn’t expect such an old school product to be a new item on brs
Well oddly only one size? 6ft..
Someone over in Germany found a warehouse stash ..

Light history is an odd fascination of mine

Any good recommendations for a t5 bulb with substantial peaks past 600 nm going up to 750nm?

Ideally 60 inch tubes since my fixture are 60 inches

Also really odd that they changed brands supposedly? Wonder if these giesseman bulbs are the same as the old FM ones

go to "items" and check the flourescent (t5) brands.
You can see the spectrum chart of select bulbs.
For looks there is a comparison of various t5's and brands here:

Giesemann Powerchrome mid -day is close though a bit "warm" maybe. Should be slightly "green" rather than yellow though.

If you ran 2 bulbs...this should get you a decent 14000k look.. Peoples perceptions vary though.

Oh yea.. check out UVA "white actinic"..and others.

Not exactly what you are asking for but it does have some of the red spectrum..Remeber these charts are relative. Big blue spike supresses the red part.

I take that back.. charts looks to be scaled in actual photon counts. Ignore my sentence above.
The combination of 50% 420nm and 50% triband phosphors makes this the lamp great for coral, live rock and related marine life. The 12,000 Kelvin temperature peak gives the Actinic White a true daylight spectrum.

Hmmm.. Giesemann "midday" seems to be discontinued? There is a 6500k "tropic"
