First, a big thanks to @AquaticLifeProducts for giving me the opportunity to give these a shot.
I will be using this thread as a review for these bulbs. 48” Led Royal Blue 54w t5 replacement bulbs. I’ll try my best to answer questions from my shared experience. This is the first time I’ll be using these.
I have been using blue+ as my supplement in my fixture for awhile now, so I have big expectations as I know what my reef has liked so far.
A little background on my setup and myself. Currently I have a 220gal, 60x36x24, this tank has been going for roughly 3yrs, but, technically everything was brought over from my old tank, which was 10yrs old. So theoretically my rock, some corals, and a few fish, have been with me for 13yrs.
It is connected to a 40br as a sump, and also have a 34gal observation tank, a 5gal “pod” bucket, and a 55gal that houses my diy ats. I guesstimate around 250 actual gallons, so nothing to crazy.
My lighting started as the ORIGINAL hydras, then I upgraded to hydra26hds. Then I added the non dimmable Aquatic Life Hybrid fixture, since pretty much when it was released. It has housed 4-26hds, 2-Blue+, and 2-Actinic, all ATI, the entire time.
That’s it for now, I’ll start a new post moving forward with pics/etc...
