Aquatic life HME edge suggestions

I have a 55 gallon with an aquatic life HME edge led system. I know, Chinese junk, but it’s what I have so it’s what I’ll roll with for now. I have a few fish and just added a feather duster and another soft coral.

the app has preset locations for light timing but no directions so I’m wondering about doing a custom setting. For the “Caribbean” setting its doing 10 hours of daylight plus a couple more nightlight. You can manually set a schedule with % of each color type and time of day.

does anyone have familiarity with this system to suggest settings that will reduce the amount of white light (getting algae issues) - curious on both time and intensity. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Just added the same last night to my 55.
Curious why you consider is "Chinese Junk". All research I did before buying show me a capable light. As for programming, just set the preset and adjust to your liking. Then watch a preview of the setting. It's a pretty simple process.

I used that term as it’s a common one for any of the lesser known import stuff out there and I figured I’d say it before someone else did. And I bought mine on good reviews as well, still mixed opinions on it for me. Most of my frustration comes from the lack of reference info out there to go from. I’m 100 miles from the nearest petco and 200 from a lfs so google is my friend and it’s almost blank for this light. It came with instructions that basically say plug it in and use the app, and there’s a YouTube video that shows steps but text only and still pretty simple. For someone trying to figure out which preset to use or how to tweak it if needed it’s basically a try it and find out thing. I’m pretty handy so I’ll get there eventually but the lack of info or support isn’t comforting to me.

Still looking for any advice on this one? Here’s a pic of the app’s control panel, can set it with anything down to 30 minute increments. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hope this helps, I use the top setting but only at 80% blues and 30% white
