Has any one used this heaters are they any good. I have only used jäger heaters but reviews on this aqueon don't look bad and they are made in Italy

I use the Aqueon Pro heaters in all 3 of my tanks. I have a 200 watt one in my main tank and 2 100 watt ones in my smaller tanks. They work extremely well and are fairly accurate. I have them set right at the 80 degree mark and my tanks stay between 79-80. The 200 watt one has been in use for about 2.5 years.

I use them in my Frag swap tank, broodstock and growout tanks, along with a Finnex temp controller.

I like they are plastic coated and fully submersible

The aqueon pro I have keeps temp within 0.8 degrees.... The jager I have keeps the temp within 2.1 degrees.... I prefer the pro and wish I wouldn't have bought the jager

I use metal halides for heaters :yo:

Funny story, I bought my first tank, and to my knowledge the heater worked (it did not). But I had metal halide lamps. The metal halide lamp kept the temp up at around 76 degrees. low but it was consistent. haha.

Bringing this thread back to life a little but I am using the Aqueon Pro in my 30 gallon tank and it ticks all the boxes - running now for a year or so without issue. I have been a bit concerned about some of the mentions of cracked heaters but for me it's all good.

I just got Aqueon Pros and the look to be made of metal on the outside I stead of glass. Am I correct?
They look really well made.
