IMO, Adam must now comment on every zombie thread! I’ve enjoyed seeing these pop up, but a few have unanswered questions or requests for updated pics!
I’m almost embarrassed to admit that a few years ago life got hectic and I lost most of my coral. My tank was one disaster after another. Between aiptasia, flat worms, really high nutrients, cyano, and bryopsis I had lost interest in the tank which made my problems worse. If not for the fact that I still had all of my fish which I’ve had for 3-5 years I maybe would have got out of the hobby. Within the last 6 months or so I have started to work on getting my tank back to where it needs to be to start adding SPS back.
He did reply to some of them that I planted trees in. Although I still would love to see a photo of Fairy Food.
The tree planting was just a Friday thing i think. But we can keep this thread going as long as we want.Do we still continue to plant trees all weekend, or was that just a Friday thing?
In the same boat, everything was going great, then my nutrients bottomed out, then I got dinos, lost a bunch of stuff, weirdly stuff like forest fire digi and green slimer crapped out, other things like glowhorn and skinny love are still alive. Most acros just stned from tips down and base up. Icp looked alright, was low on iodine. Some of the monits have started to get some color back so I'm hoping we heading in the right direction. Tank is just full of hair algea that seems to grow as fast as I remove it. That's reefing sometimes. But yea when the tank isn't doing so hot it definitely takes its toll on your interest in the hobby and prob why alot of people only seem to last a year or so.
Yeah I got a tank that is full of hair algae also, but it’s not my main tank. It’s never had coral in it and I don’t plan on putting coral in it. I actually had a nitrate reactor that had kept the algae at bay, but I didn’t think it was helping much until my pump died and my tank got covered in hair algae. I put another pump on it but Neptune PMUPs are garbage and another pump died quickly. I’m going to hook the reactor up my manifold. Once that gets going again I think that tank will be good.

It makes keeping up with this current events impossible. There is so much absolute nonsense going on here. Even the sticky threads are clutter.

It’s just a limited time thing it’ll fix itself in another day and all be back to normal.
