The big killer to these lights is salt spray and heat. Keep the tank top covered and they will last! Usually what I see on customers tanks is salty air getting into the lights. This kills the fans first thing. Then they run hot. Not good.
Elevate the lights and cover the tank. Dust the lights off and when the intakes get dirty for the fans, clean them out.

I use the galaxyhydro 165w. I grow Lps and soft corals fine. Purchased my first Sps earlier this week so wont say that its successful yet in that area. Have it set at 30% white 100% actinic
Pros
Quiet
Reliable so far 2 years no issues
Dimmers easy to operate.
Price, was only $60 on sale, how many other choices are there in that price range.
Cons
Only two controls blue and all others(white). Mind you i have full control on a planted light and this is not something i found useful.

Limited mounting options. I diy’d a pvc stand and painted it black wasn’t a lot of work but wasn’t many already fabricated options.

My fuge light is an asta 20. Which provides solid cheato growth.

Nice Gareth!! Sps are usually a whole different level of coral keeping. Many blame the lights for their unsuccessful attempts at growing sps. When in fact, it's other issues affecting the coral.

I looked at those. I would still need 8 at least of the 32" ones. Still be in the $2400 range at $400 a piece I would go with 4 photon 48s at that Price. I seen some Ever grow ones on Amazon for 129.00. Has the same par chart as reef breeders. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00U...ergrow+led&dpPl=1&dpID=511kKvLTbSL&ref=plSrch
Different look different spectrum.
129 for a 300w 30? With ramping etc? I think 4'photons are more than that. 700.

8 32's? Can I come hang out?

I am not sure about the 8x 32" lights for that size tank. I would think either 4x 32" or 8x 16" would give you your coverage.
I am running 1x 32" over a standard 90 (48x18x24) about 10" above the water. There is some drop off towards the edges, but I have not tried to raise them or pull any optics.

The previous owner had 4 of the photon 48s. Then switched to have 2 photon 48s and 5 radions

I didn't realize they were 32" at first. So I'm guessing 6 for my tank. Because I'm 36" front to back so I would probably go two rows of three maybe?
