I’m not sure what’s going on with my tank all of a sudden I’m having this issue. Lots of green algae taking over my tank. I do once a week water changes of 5G on 60G of water volume. In my sump there is a skimmer, heater and gfo. I don’t run any filter socks. Can someone please help me it’s getting very frustrating. Source water is 0 TDS

Alk 8-9
Cal 400-420
Salinity 1.026
Mg 1300
Phos lower end of the api test kit
Nitrates lower end of the api test kit
Tank temp 77

That don't appear to be bad algae. Just algae growing on your dead coral parts. For what ever reason your corals are becoming dead. The algae is growing on the new exposed parts of dead coral.
How is your water flow?
Your ammonia?
Lighting?
In that 4th pic, it looks like you have tons of detritus. Sitting there.

Water flow is good, I haven’t test for ammonia and my lighting is a reef Breeders photon v2. It runs from 8am until midnight on very low intensity using the coral labs ab+ schedule

Test for ammonia. I just see lots of detritus piled up on your frag racks. What is your flow in the tank?

That schedule states a 7 hour period plus a 1 hour ramp up & down
Why do you have a 16 hour photo period?
Looks like sps frags, what par is your "low intensity" ?

I’m not sure on Par I never tested it, you think it could be caused from too long of a photo period?

If you have a high inorganic nutrient level a long photo period under low intensity will benefit algae, but not sps.

How can I fix my issue? The tank was once beautiful and running like a champ im not sure what happened I didn’t do any drastic changes

It's near impossible for me to say, but obviously something has changed. More info needed, & some photos under your daytime intensity would be good.

I really need to get to the bottom of this issue, I’ve been watching this happen to my tank along with all the hard work I put into it. What Infor do you need? I will post pics with the white leds tomorrow. This tank has been setup since 1/2017. About a month ago I did have a issue with a heater malfunctioning and raising the temp to 82-83 degrees and my Alk dropped to 6

More specific no3 & po4 readings.
Filtration method.
Fish & amount & type of food fed.
What changes you've made recently.

@reefsquad can help

I can’t really get myself Hanna checks to see the exact numbers on my tank

60G system with 10 fish

I feed Hikari pellets once a day, reef roids once a week

I haven’t made any changes

Should I cut back on lighting? Reduce feedings? And continue with gfo and water changes?

Throw out those API kits. Try Salifert.
Do some large water changes. Nutrients have to be high for algae to grow.
Do you have a refugium or algae scrubber?
Change your lighting schedule, it's much too long. From start to finish mine is 12 hours, but that's a couple hours of ramping on each end.
You'd be better off with less total time but a higher daylight portion for your sps.
That is A LOT of dead sps in your tank. Get rid of it. You're just giving the algae surface area to grow on.

No Refugium or algae scrubber, I’m only running gfo in a tlf reactor

Adjusted lighting scheduled lowered the intensity and lighting photo period

those algae sps are done will they grow back or should I just trash them
Trash. Dead SPS is dead. If you have any living tissue left, you could try fragging it.

SPS need good water conditions, balanced alk, cal, and mag... and strong lighting. And stability.
I'm concerned with your lighting... you said it was low intensity and now you lowered it further.
That's fine for now until you get the algae under control, but I wouldn't expect to be able to grow sps until you supply adequate lighting.
PAR would help if you could find a par meter to borrow, but otherwise look for someone with the same lights and find out how high they are over the water and what intensity they are set at.
