My wife and I just so happened to be in San Diego (a couple years ago) when Comicon was going on. We didn't realize this until we got there and couldn't get into a restaurant for dinner without standing in a long line with a bunch of odd looking folks. The deal was if we were willing to be seated with a "single" person, we could be seated earlier. We decided to take them up on the offer and sat with a young woman from the State of Washington....a little odd, and certainly could see why she was single. She proceeded to fill us in on the Comicon experience......a bunch of oddballs in my mind.

Anyway, it got me thinking......are we too seen as a bunch of oddballs when we attend MACNA or Reef-A-Palooza? What do you think?

I'd say that we are pretty normal. Unless everyone started dressing up as Nemos, Dory's and anemonie or ther favorite coral or fish.

Yeah, you're probably right.....they look normal to me:

Most certainly. When I went to Reefapalooza Orlando 2 years ago and came home with corals my inlaws were there. When I told them I was at Reefapalooza and went on to explain what that was and what goes on there, they looked at me like I had 2 heads. The first thing out of there mouths was, "they do that"?

I enjoy both although have never personally been to a comic con or any aquarium related meets, but would go to both given the opportunity, so what's that say about me? Lol

It means "the spirit is willing, but the body is weak. " Matthew 26:41.:D

I predict you'll still be living in your mother's basement at the age of 45.:rolleyes::D

This guy is a Marine and I predict that he's going to come up out of that basement and kick your butt.

Whenever I attend a local club meeting, expo or the LiveAquaria Open House Tours, my "family and friends" always refer to them as a "fish thing" with a verbal eye roll. That's why they don't get cookies!

And where else can you speak for hours using latin binomial nomenclature and not seem like a nerd?
