My latest ICP test shows a fair amount of arsenic for the first time. A few questions:
  • Where might have arsenic come from? Its been at zero in my last 2 tests. The only change to my system since the last test was the addition of AL 99 PO4 remover.
  • Is there any way to remove arsenic without a water change?
Thanks

I recall hearing that treatment facilities use GFO remove arsenic. Someone else should have more info.

Me and another reefer got arsenic as well today for the first time. Another reefer testing for first time also had arsenic. Looks like a bad calibration of Triton ICP machine today?

Might be an issue on Triton's end. If you see no issues in your tank then you may want to hold off on making any drastic changes.

Ok, thanks for bringing this to our attention, we have found the problem, those affected should be receiving an email very shortly and the corrected analysis soon after.

Hey, check into why my ICP test had a PO4 of 2.25522 a month after a reading of .01989612.

Weird. My test just showed high levels too and I figured I would do the test because my tank looks it's best it ever has. So I'm confused

Slightly related to the thread, but yes GFO removes arsenic, I am on well water w/arsenic, we opted for a whole home filter and all it is an almost 5ft tall reactor filled with GFO.

Just had a high arsenic reading as well from ICP-Analysis. 0.055. Have been struggling with acropora for some time and wondering could this be the cause? I have no idea where this could be coming from.

My acros are doing great so I don't think it is the arsenic
