ATO diagrams / suggestions

Hello everyone,
Do you have any ATO diagrams available for ATO's set up outside of the sump? I have a Red Sea 625XL and the ATO valve has clogged over 10 times in 6 months. I'm looking at an external ATO now, although my main purpose for choosing the Red Sea is because everything was self-contained and visually appealing. I'm looking at alternatives.

I reached out to Red Sea and they provided some instructions on how to unclog and even drill the return hole to make it larger. I'll do that next, but it is such a tight fit that I will have to pull out my Reef Mat to access the float valve.

I still have some research to do, but really appreciate your thoughts to help get me started.

Why is your ATO clogging? Do you use kalk?

Heres the most basic diagram for an electronic optical sensor style.

Note the anti siphon valve in the reservoir right above the max water level.

Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for. Is this from a specific product?

I don’t use Kalk (not sure what it is). The hole in the fitting at the end of the gravity feed is small and prone to clogging.
I’m researching alternatives for the ATO water transfer.

Gotcha.
This is from an ato like the auto aqua or duetto from xpaqua

And kalk is used in the top off to replenish elements and help boost ph.

Ive use the duetto without failure for years but they are not bulletproof.

It uses a 3/8 hose so it wont clog.
