Hello all !

I've got 125 L (33g) reef tank, whit sump (about 15g).

I wanna build my ATS whit my 3D print.
In my country this filter method is not common used.
So i've no idea of the Mesh dimension. Something like 8 inch square could be ok ?
Since i'd print the mesh, are little square, on the mesh, of 2 mm good ?
I know could be better buy the mesh, but i've found it only in amazon, for 12€...
Reason why i wanna try to print its.

If it works, i'll share whit you stl files for surely !

you buy knitting screen and use some sandpaper on it

Sounds ok, obviously depending on how much you feed. Are you lighting it from both sides?
Will the printed material allow you to rough the screen up without damaging it too much?
Yes, i've tryed on mesh whit 1 mm tichkness.

you right, cheapest and fast, but i've got something as 5 kg of PLA, i've a reason to use it finally and to justificate my extreme bought!! :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

I've played tetris whit my sump, it's not so big...
However, the water spread on mesh seems good, something like a 80% covering..
I'm gonna update you in the next few days, i don't think it's gonna grow any algae, cause NO3 and PO4 are almost to zero...

1 week update..
Seems working, but i've never experience whit it. Algae's color is brown, not so green. from picture feel like green.
What do you think?
