I would say with euro bracing 3/4 glass would be fine but I am no expert but the guys over at Reef Savvy are lol

"Earthquake country" makes me think of putting the whole tank stand on some kind of gimbal system. I mean if you're taking it this far already... ;-)

Tank arrived last week. Need to have the stand welded up. Planning to install around middle of February. The tank is a work of art. BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Following this for sure!! Did you go with 1/4" tubular steel powder coated for the stand?

I haven't decided yet. I either will go with stainless steel and have it powder coated for double protection, or go with stainless steel, have it electropolished and then a clear coat to prevent the salt from rusting it. If I go powder coat, I will likely go blue to match the accent on the tank and MRC sumps.

Only because nobody ever like pictures of the progress...

Bordon Bespoke is the new Reef Savvy line of fully custom "over the top" tanks. In talking to Felix, he's only produced a few. His work is amazing. Truly a piece of art.

Sump UV.jpg

We had to build the sump in two pieces to fit in the room. The first is where the socks and UV lights are. MRC also does amazing work. Hats off to Chris Benner of Sticks and Stones for designing this system.

@JLowder - Really impressive set up so far! Doubly so since this is your first build. Can't wait to see more.
