Auburn Reefing

Welcome aboard and Roll Tide! (Sorry I had to!) :)

There are a lot of reef keepers around Montgomery so not too far away. There is also I nice aquarium shop by the mall in Montgomery.

Join the All Things Aquatic Alabama FB page and that will help you find folks near you.
Oof. I don’t think an Alabama fan can stick around on my thread. Lol. I’ll have to check out the store and I’ll look into that FB page. I just gotta remember my password. Lol. Thanks for the info dan!

Welcome to R2R.
Upgrading tank and going away to school? Much braver than I!!

Find a landlord you can seriously trust and good housemates. You will not want to be moving every 9 months

The upgrade will take some time and be spread out so I don’t blow all of my money. Since I don’t have to stay in a dorm I’ll be staying with family that I don’t get to see often. And they actually want me to set up a tank! I doubt I’ll be moving around that much but just in case, I won’t be getting anything much larger. Most likely a 40 breeder with a sump. Kind of tired with the AIO. Not enough room to do what I want. Lol

Forgive me of the algae on the side glass. It’s hard to get a good angle to clean it good. And I got an emerald crab taking care of the bubble algae but I might have to get another one. One day there was a single bubble and the next it was all over the place. And I bought the Acans like that too. I really liked the other colony full of heads but $200 was out of my price range. Got this little dude for $60 instead. Feeding him every couple of days so it can recover

BioCubes are always great starter tanks

I absolutely agree! Having the tank up for a year now was a great way for me to dip my toes in the water. Now I wanna start messing with sumps and expanding my knowledge of the hobby. Still gonna keep the tank up and running though. Maybe do a couple upgrades and seeing what I can do
