I’ve seen awful reviews on the jump guard on WB website people saying they are trash do you have experience with them?
Are you referring to the Redsea / D-D ones? If yes , then well those need some decent DIY skills to put them together and morever its not a one man job as they show in those Youtube videos.

The net does get loose and starts sagging after a while but it still does its job. I had that on my earlier tank, but i had to run that spline roller once in a while to get the net tight again. If the lights are tank mount then additional cut outs are needed.

This time for my new build i am going with those acrylic custom made lids with feeding ports etc. Getting it shipped from the US.

You can have a look at those also.

Following for sure! I am looking at this same tank. I am curious tho on the sump area dimensions? Looks like there is a divider wall in it. Wonder how necessary that wall is. Could you post pictures of it by chance with maybe some dimensions

I will it’s supposed to come in in a week or two so I’m getting excited. It does come with a divider for the sump but it’s removable so it suits your needs

Following along here and figured I would chime in with my 2 cents... I am currently running a Frag 105.4 with two MP40's and they have been great running at about 30%. I have cleaned them once with Citric Acid and they came out looking brand new so as I am sure every product has some positive and negatives so far my experience has been positive. In regards to a lid I had the same reservations on one of the nice acrylic lids made by one of the guys here in the US. Seems expensive and TBH I don't like the look so I am not using a lid for now. I did have one of my first fish jump out when the alarm in my house went off. This was after about 2 weeks of being in a new tank. Ever since then I have not lost a fish (knock on wood). Another tip at least in my opinion is to make sure you keep your scape down low enough if you plan on putting corals on the top. If you go to high #1 you wont have much room to grow up and #2 its tough to see them in the back half unless you bend down. I saw a really nice scape in a Frag 105.4 at my LFS they built a scape that went up into both sides of the tank then down semi low in the middle. It gave the tank alot of depth since you do have plenty of width to work with. He ran the rocks all the way up (like to the waterline) into each side then wide down semi low in the middle. I will get a pic if I go by there anytime again soon. Anyways hope those help. Love the tank very easy to work with but the go bigger bug just got me so I am working on something new soon. 145 is probably the perfect size in hindsight 105 was to small for me.

Honestly I almost bought the 105 but I figured I’d want more later and decided just to bite the bullet sooner than later on the size

So I did it. I went ahead and spent the money for the Red Sea Dose, hoses and all. I figured with all the time and money spent I might as well just do the dang thing and be completely set up. I’m wiring and organizing everything tonight and tomorrow morning. Then doing the scape tomorrow and have already started mixing the water. I have a mixing station that can do 110 gallons at a time so I should be able to fill rather quickly. I’m hoping by Friday night/ Saturday afternoon having the tank filled and cycle started with 8oz of turbo start and the new Genesis rock by polyp lab. I’ll post pictures later this evening

We’ll I ended up hitting a wall designing my controller panel for above the ATO so tomorrow will be busy but I got the lights spaced and mounted and kind of got an idea of placement for the MP40’s. I’m still loving the LED lights under the cabinet they were fun to install and change the look of the whole thing

Following ! Nice Build! They have upgrade the sump desing right ?
Yeah, as far as they have included a removable baffle to have a refrigium (or however you spell it) to accommodate this they also redid how it flows, from the last sock it goes through more weir teeth into the sump.

We’ll I finished the control center, wiring and layout of sump and aquascaped ( I forgot to take a picture before filling with water so I’ll post scape pic soon) not gonna lie I’m glad to almost be done lol I took a week off to complete this and Sunday is my last day so I finished! I still need about 10 gallons to be up and running but it’s late and I’ll do that in the morning. Until then here are the pics of everything

Great feeling to be done with the wiring. Its such a p in the a. Looks great tho!
Man it really challenged my love for the hobby last couple days lol. I was an Aviation Electronics Tech in the Navy working on Seahawks and some of this took me back to wiring ESM’s and radios in the tailcone or RT’s in the avionics racks
