I picked up one of these guys the other day and I have to say... it’s pretty cool. I do have a question though. The instructions say to put one sensor at the sump water line where you want the ATO to maintain. The other sensor is the “low” one which is tells the AWC how much to remove. Problem is, in order to remove the amount of water I want to remove, I have to shut down the return pump and skimmer to keep from running them dry. When I do that, the water level in the sump rises. That means I have to adjust the sensors to accommodate the extra volume. After I refill, I have to adjust them back down. Or... is there another way?

How much volume are you trying to remove? How big is your return chamber?

You can set it to do more frequent, smaller changes.
