Automatic Link to Amazon

Just noticed that, if you type the word Amazon into a post, R2R automatically creates a link the Amazon website.

I don't, personally, like it:
Makes me think the poster is providing a link to a specific item being referenced.

Guessing the same probably happens for other common websites but not sure.

No biggie,,, just my opinion based on first impression.

It’s not shady at all. It’s called an affiliate link and almost 100% of all websites do it. I’m not going to argue this with you either. You’re not going to call our ethics into question. PM me if you want to discuss further.
