Question. I have a naso tang, a yellow mimic tang, and a baby blue hippo in QT. Started QT Aug 1. Treating with Copper power at 2.5. For first 14 days then adding general cure with the copper. Everything g has looked great but the blue is scratching away. I checked for flukes but nothing. My question is after the 30 days can I place the other fish in DT. And keep QT the blue or do I have to start over.
I do plan on running prozipro for 5 days on the 1st. With all fish
Agin I don’t think anything could live through the general cure. I dose it every other day 4x. I also add to food for last 5 days of month.

If the blue has something that's making it through the QT, it could potentially spread to your other fish as well, so I'd think you'd need to QT them as well.

Any pics/videos under white light you could share with the #fishmedic crew?

Isn’t there a lower dosage of praziiquantal in the recommended dose for general cure . May be not high enough to kill the flukes . When you say you checked for flukes , did you dip in FW or skin/gill scrape ? Where on his body is the hippo scratching ? Is it his operculum or a part on their body? If he is still scratching don’t add the others to the DT . You risk whatever is causing the flashing to be transferred to the DT . Once in Qt all fish need to be treated together as a whole and observed together . And only when all show no signs of distress or disease can they then be moved . If you don’t want to do that , in the future Qt individually . Did you maintain adequate copper levels throughout ? What are the ammonia ,nitrite , nitrate levels in the tank ? I assume this is a bare qt tank

Sorry didn’t realize this was an older post
