Alright, some of you know that the wife and I are expecting and recently we found out Baby Brown is going to be a boy. We wanted to get a vote on our 2 favorite names.

Congrats!

I might have to do this too for our little girl that is on the way. We want to have 3-4 to choose from and decide after she is borne what fits her best.

I like Jaden. Maddox just seems a little too different or hard to say I guess.

There are 3 Jaden in the two 1st grade classes at my sons school, and I work with a guy you has a nephew named Jaden.
I like Maddox, you could call the little princess Maddy!
Congrats by the way, my little girl has changed me and my out look on life a ton.

Me and the wife like Maddox!

Oh BTW polls in the lounge are not posted on the home page because most of the time they are not reef related. :D

Maximus Dessimus Meridias Brown... he can grow up to be only two things: A Roman General or a ****** Cagefighter. Either way, you win :D

If not, then I supposed Maddox...

and whatever happened to names like Matthew or William or Robert... my girlfriend and I fight all the time about what to name our son. In her family, there are boys named Ashton, Jaden, Caden, Brayden, and Tristan.

No offense of course to your choices, I think Maddox is unique

I would say Maddox is best.

I find it important to think of what the kids will call the child in school.
You don’t want to choose a name that is easy to make fun of or may cause him to be cast in a unwanted role. Kids in school can be VERY mean so no point in making it easy for them. Any name that could be for a girl OR a boy is risky IMO

With Jaden people will most likely end up saying Jade for short which is kind of cool but also kind of girly depending on how you look at it.

Maddox is cool to and although they may call him Maddy (which is also kind of girly) it is a lot less likely IMO.

with a girl this is not as important but with a boy the name is a much bigger deal. with our son we went more main stream to avoid any problems and went with Brian. traditional, simple, and nice.

it is very sad that somethign as simple as a name can make a difference in a kids childhood but trust me IT DOES. just think of all the kids running around named Star, or paradise, that REALLY wish there parents were not Hippies lol

Those are probably the 2 most popular names this year! When he get's to kindergarden he will have both of those names in his class especially jaden for the girls. I know 2 jaden's all ready this year my cousin named her little girl jaden just last week and a friend of mine her daughter named her little girl jaden in may?

Maddox is pretty low on the popularity according to the ss.gov website. Jayden is up there with Jaden being like 500 around there out of the top 1000 names of 2008
