Baby Torch?

I've had this red torch for a while, and I've really put it through the ringer, killing several heads over the years. Things have been pretty stable for a while, though.

Today I saw what looks to be a mini-version of this torch on the opposite side of my 20g cube. Could this possibly be a new torch? I don't see any skeleton, just the tentacles in the photo below. Sorry for the bad photo - its at a rough spot.

Could be. It looks like on your mother colony that one of the polyps (heads) bailed out and maybe that is the missing head. It could also be a majano anemone.

Did your torch end up surviving?
It did! It attached itself to the rock and is doing just fine. I'm glad, cause it's the only thing I have left from that coral.

I have a toxic hammer that did the same, even though the hammer is thriving - it must have 20 heads by now. This is a rockless frag tank, so the baby ends up at a dead spot in the flow. I haven't decided how I want to deal with it. Looking at a previous reply, it looks like I should glue it to a plug.
