Well I noticed that half the leds on the cob chip in my fuge light have died already. I think it it is due to 2 rhings 1 being a cheap china led fixture and heat. Its a nice fixture and comes in 2 led color options but dont buy it. Looks like I will be going back to a shop clamp lamp amd spiral PC bulb.

Been a while since I have updated here. Sadly not much to report, I guess thats a good and bad thing. The good is that everything is doing really good all my fish are fat and happy. My 2 coral frags are doing good, the acan has grown new heads and the zoas are doing nothing. The bad is I have not had the extra money to add anything new or even deal with treating for the flat worms in my fuge. I need to do that asap before adding anything. Tank is 4 months old now and seeing more small spots or coraline on the pumps and overflow. I ran out of Hw Marine Mix Professional salt mix a week ago and it has been out of stock at BRS for several weeks. So I switched to Fritz RPM blue box, like it so far but need to do some testing on new mixed saltwater that is 100% Fritz and not mixed between the 2. Water quality and chemistry has been super stable. Best of all I have not had the new tank uglies show up still after 4 months, I guess using cured and cooked live rock and running the tank with no lighting for 2 months really helped out. So my next move is to deal with the flat worms, need to get some carbon and Flat Worm Exit. Oh I found a very tiny, like pin tip and sized bright red what I think was a nudibranch cruzing on my front glass a few days ago. No idea what it was for sure, never saw anything simliar before, could not get a pic it was so tiny. I remove it to be safe.

Removed and treated for flat worms today. Did a 20g water change and running carbon in the sump. Everything is looking great except the flatworms.

Woke up this morning to a slightly cloudy tank. Not bad just a slight haze some kind of bacteria bloom. I did dose 5 mls of MB7 2 days ago so it might be from that, it has happened a few times before. Everything is looking good and water tested good. Doing a 10g water change today just the same.
Alk 9
Cal 440
No3 0
Po4 0 normally is reading closer to the .25 color on API kit so that dropped some which would support the possible bacterial bloom.
Temp 77.5
SG 1.025
Ph 7.99 normally around 8.15 which supports a bactieral bloom possibility causing the Ph to drop to do lower desolved O2.
The new corals and fish and doing good so far. The Psuedo ate this morning with vigor. The JMT has PE already.

Water is still cloudy this morning. Everything is looking good in the tank so Im not worried and will let it clear up on its own. I may add some passive carbon to the sump in a day or so if its still hazy. Doing another water test today after the water changes last night.

I think photo-wise, this must be one of the BEST documented builds on R2R! Any newbie should be able to piece together what you’ve done, inch by inch. Congratulations!
Wow! Thank you very much for the generous compliment. I wanted people to see in detail how everything was done. Plus I like to see in detail other build threads.

Tank has cleared up, no more haze. Proof that sometimes you nned to just take it slow and wait not freak out and try to throw a fix at the tank. If the corals look good, fish look good and water is testing good just leave things be.
Corals still looking good the sps have good PE and the new acan is plumping up a little more every day. I think the acro frag is getting more green to it, it was mostly brown with just some green on the tips. Going to wait a few more days before moving them off the sand bed.

Looking good! I’ll be following along on your thread, I’ve got a very similar build that’s in the beginning stages.
