I'm new (again) to the hobby, and I just got my fluval evo 13.5 cycled and have the first 2 fish in it.

Going to be a reef tank, eventually.

Got any name suggestions?

I have a toddler, and she loves rugrats. So I suggested Phil and lil.

That only name I'm against is Nemo. Too cliche for me. But if course that's what my daughter suggested. :)

Something to be said for involving the kids in the hobby for sure. I am with you on Nemo, that would be a no for me too. I named my clowns Daisy Duke and Boss Hog. I guess only those of a certain age will get the reference, but I like names from tv or movies. Maybe you can convince your daughter that they are definitely Phil and Lil. I like the rhyme. :p

I always name my pets after other animals, weird habit of mine
My old snowflake pair was called Orca and Penguin.

suggesting: Nemo 1 and Nemo 2 (variation of Thing 1 and Thing 2).

suggesting you have adult nicknames when your daughter isn't around: cat and dog
... what did you expect - its a family friendly hobby (giggle)
