As I mentioned in my previous thread I am just getting back into the hobby and after much debate I decided to go with the IM 100 ext. The tank was deliver this afternoon so now the real fun will start. I have been working on my stand while I was waiting for the tank to show up. The stand is pretty heavy but some how it seemed like a lot weight that it was going to be holding so I took no chances and framed it out in 2x6’s. Over kill? Maybe but if this tank ever came crashing down , I’m pretty sure I would be in the dog house for life! Below are some photos showing my progress and where I am now in the process. I did borrow the idea I saw from one of our felow reefers here(Thanks) and I coated the whole inside with flex seal, not only does it look clean but if I do ever spring a leak it will help contain it hopefully until I can catch it. Not sure if this will be the final look for the paint, my wife wanted the rustic/weathered look so we will see.

Thanks, the stand is a smidge heavier than I might have wanted but if a tornado hits I know where I’m hiding.
2x6 frame, probably more than a smidge. Ya that would definitely make a great safe room! :D

Very nice! Mine just arrived at my lfs. Just finished my stand/rack. I'm going to place my IM 25 on top. Once that's situated I can put the 100 in place and plumb it in. My sump is in the garage. These things are built like tanks!

Your stand looks great! I really like the way the wood grain shows up.
