Hi Everyone,
Just the intro post.
I'm just getting back to the hobbie after 25 years, this time as a joint hobby with my children - they are 10 and 12 years old.
We setup a Cade 1200 peninsula and absolutely love it, my how things have changed. The tank is cycled and we are slowly stocking it, so far so good. Most of the equipment is reef octo. We have 2x AI hydra 44 lights, a AI wave maker and a chiller attached. Everything has come a long way in 25 years!!
The three of us have already found we have a love for larger fish, so at some stage in the future a larger system will be setup as well, probably a fowlr. We have stocked a couple of fish that will need to be moved as they grow already so we're kind of committed!!
Looking forward to developing the tank further and gaining more knowledge.
I have included a couple of pics, the rock beauty angel is so cool, he will obviously need to be moved in the future. He spent some time at the coral banded shrimps cleaning station today, and I noticed some very fine white dots on him, mildly concerned about ich... he's very active and eating well ill have to keep an eye. I haven't got to setting up a Q / hospital yet... need to do it before we get much further down the line...
