I have a tank that has been up for a year now and thinking of doing a 3 day blackout due to GHA. Struggling to get rid of it. I've lowed feeding levels, doing water changes, manual removal, etc... I am thinking of doing a 3 days blackout.
The tank has been a FOWLR for the past year up until 2 weeks ago when I got a green-tip LTA. The clowns have accepted him and is doing GREAT!!! How does a 3-day blackout affect an nem's zooxanthellae? Also, do I need to worry about my fish not being able to see the nem? Worried about one swimming blind into its tentacles. I have 3 gobies and a hawk fish among other fish that I am worried about.
I'm thinking of doing the 3-day blackout as my goal was to starting adding corals after 1 year of tank maturity. But I don't want to add corals until I have the GHA gone.
Thanks
