I’ve been looking to join 2 sumps with a passive balancing pipe. I’ve been looking for the bulkhead fitting and I can’t seem to find it in store, but I can easily find it online. I was wondering if anyone knows of anything sold at Lowe’s, Home Depot, or menards that can be used as a water tight balancing pipe? Picture for reference...

Agricultural stores like Rural king and Tractor supply have bulkhead fitting in the sprayer parts section
Fricken rural king is so disorganized in my area. I found the first slip with no rubber washers or the other half. I received no help from staff

Depending on flow you may need a bigger pipe. I had to run 3" pipe through my DWC hydroponics buckets to get everything level. This was with a small return pump.

My plan is to run 2, clear plastic totes off of my wet dry filter(roughly 15 gallons). Wet dry would house a skimmer and media in the wet dry basket, next would be fuge, last would house the return pump only. Would 1” cut it? Also, my tank is not drilled and I am using HOB overflow

What is your flow rate?

at home depot or lowes you can get a male fitting and female bushing of the size you want. then in the Drain section They sell rubber washers for Traps and drains . This in my opinion makes the best bulk heads for this situation.. Also pond, Pool and Jacuzzi tub sales places will have bulkheads and rubber seals for normal pvc fittings ..

Good Luck and happy plumbing.. OHH Remember water flows down hill unless you scream at it Very Loudly
