Hi all! I'm Sparks, and I'm still in Research Mode while I work through Medical Nonsense, but I'm excited to get into keeping a saltwater tank. Hoping to get a good setup with a peacock shrimp and some soft corals that don't mind lower light, and I've already found tons of useful info here so figured I'd actually sign up and maybe make some friends in the process!
Never run a tank myself but I've watched my stepdad keep them here and there over the years, so I'm not coming in entirely blind at least. Not looking to keep anything huge yet, the tank's probably either gonna be a 40 gal breeder or one of those 44 gal frameless tanks if I can find one at a good price. Figure that's a good balance between being big enough both to give the peacock room to roam once I get it set, not be overly sensitive to mistakes while I'm troubleshooting my setup, and small enough to fit where I want to put it. If there's anyone with experience with a similar style setup I'd love to be able to bounce ideas off you and pick your brain!
